Tomar is a thriving town and has a long, illustrious history, which dates back to the Knights Templars. There are both bus and train stations within walking distance of the property as well as cafe bars, restaurants, shops, banks, post office, museums, art galleries and schools.

The closest airport to the property is situated at Lisbon, which can be accessed both by car and train from Tomar. Both journeys take approximately one and a quarter hours.
