A two bedroom restored cottage for sale near Tomar in central Portugal. The cottage, which is set over one floor is situated in the village of Póvoa and is connected to mains water and electricity.

The cottage is detached and has a veranda to the front with a garden at the rear with some citrus trees. The house has stone window and door surrounds and wooden framed windows. The main entrance to the house is located at the front and there is a raised veranda. The main entrance leads directly into a living room, which is double aspect. The living room has a parquet wood floor and a wooden beamed ceiling.

The kitchen is situated at the rear of the cottage and has a tiled floor and partially tiled walls. There are some built in wooden base units and a stainless steel sink and drainer. The kitchen has an exterior access door which leads out to the garden at the rear of the house.

There are two bedrooms, one of which has a parquet wooden floor while the other has a tiled floor. The bathroom is fully tiled and has a bath with shower above, toilet, bidet and pedestal sink. The property also has a 'Marquise' Sun room off the kitchen which has been used as a dining room.

There is also a large attic, which is accessed off the living room. At present the attic is used for storage purposes, though it could be converted into an additional bedroom if required.

The cottage is situated in the village of Póvoa, which has several cafes and small shops. Póvoa is around ten minutes drive from the larger town of Tomar, which has supermarkets, shops, cafes, restaurants, health centres, schools, a weekly market, swimming pools and historic Convento do Cristo and Castle constructed by the Knight Templars in the 12th century.

The closest airport to the property is situated at Lisbon, which is around one and a half hours' drive from the cottage, though it is possible to utilise either train or bus for this journey. Lisbon airport is serviced by several low cost airlines which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
