The Serra da Alvaiázere, which dominates the landscape, is a short drive from the property and affords stunning views across the whole landscape.
The historic town of Tomar, which is home to the UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo, is only 25 minutes drive from the property. Tomar is a popular and bustling town which attracts a great deal of tourists each year to marvel at the 12th century Knight Templar castle. The town also has an attractive historic centre with cobbled streets, a range of well tended parks in addition to an art gallery, museums, bowling alley, cinema, shops, supermarkets, university and hospital.
The closest airport to the property is situated at Lisbon, which is approximately one and three quarter hours' by car. Lisbon airport is serviced by several low cost airlines, which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries. |
