The extension to the rear of the house, has been built using a concrete frame with red brick infill, though has never been finished but would double the size of the existing house. The property also has a detached garage, which is large enough to accommodate up to two vehicles.

The property has a walled garden with a well and some mature trees including pine and olive. The property is situated near the small hamlet of Macas da Caminha in central Portugal. The closest town to the property is located at Alvaiazere, which is around 10 minutes drive. Alvaiazere has a range of cafes, bar, supermarkets, shops, banks, pharmacy, school and swimming pool.

The closest airport to the property is located at Lisbon, which is around one and three quarter hours' by car. Lisbon airport is serviced by variety of low cost airlines, which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
