A three bedroom detached house with two additional, stone cottages for sale near Tomar, central Portugal. The property, which is connected to mains water and electricity, is in a habitable condition though the cottages do need some renovation work. The property measures has land measuring 7,000 square metres.

Main House: The main house is set over two floor and is double glazed throughout with traditional style exterior shutters. The property is pre-installed for central heating and in a good decorative condition. The main entrance to the house leads directly into an open plan kitchen living room. This room has a tiled floor and brick fireplace with a wooden ceiling. The kitchen has a tiled floor and a brick fireplace. There is a range of built in base and eye level wooden units with a granite work surface. The oven, hob, extractor fan and dish washer are integrated. There is a wooden staircase off this room, which leads to the first floor accommodation. Off the kitchen there is a large pantry, which also has a tiled floor. There are three bedrooms to the first floor all of which have wood laminate floors, which are accessed off a central hallway. Two of the bedrooms have built in wooden wardrobes. The hallway runs the depth of the house and has a tiled floor and an exterior access door leading out to a veranda at the front of the house. The veranda has an exterior staircase which leads to a patio area at the side of the house.

The house has been restored though there are four additional rooms at the rear of the house, which still require renovation work. There is a rustic style kitchen, which has partially tiled walls. Cottage 1: Located behind the house there is an older, stone cottage, which is in need of modernisation work. The cottage has been connected to both mains water and electricity and measures 72 square metres of construction (footprint). The property has it's own title deed though is being sold together with the main house. The cottage has three bedrooms, all of which have wooden floors. There is a hallway, with part glazed wooden doors as well as a rustic style kitchen, bathroom and living room. In addition to this the cottage also has a storage room.

Cottage 2: The second cottage is also situated behind the main house and has it's own title deeds. The cottage is registered as having 72 square metres of foot print and is in a more dilapidated state than the first cottage. This cottage is not connected to either mains water or electricity and is set over one floor. There are three rooms to the cottage, though all do need a lot of work to raise it to habitable level. There is a large storage barn to the front of this cottage, which currently does not have a roof.

The property at a whole is situated on a plot measuring 7,000 square metres and there is a variety of mature trees in situ including orange and olive. The property has a well and there is a driveway at the side of the main house which leads to the two cottages. The first cottage also has a frontage to a quiet road.

The property is ideal for someone looking to earn an income from the property as once restored the two cottages could be rented out either as holiday lets or on a long term basis.

 

The property is located near the village of Alviobeira, which has several cafe bars, and is close to the historic town of Tomar in Central Portugal. Tomar, which has supermarkets, shops, cafes, restaurants, bus and train stations, art galleries, cinema, bowling alley, castle and churches is around ten minutes drive from the property.

 

The property is easily accessed from the IC3 Tomar to Coimbra road and is approximately one and a quarter hours' from the closest airport at Lisbon. Lisbon airport has a variety of low cost airlines which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
