A semi detached stone cottage in need of full renovation for sale near to the Ansiao in central Portugal. The cottage, which is set over one floor, is connected to both mains water and electricity though is not in a habitable condition at present. The property is situated in a small hamlet and there are neighbouring properties around, however the garden is private, though not large. The cottage is semi detached and comprises seven rooms, three of which were traditionally used as bedrooms, though would be considered small. There is a rustic style kitchen to one of the rooms, complete with a corner stone fireplace and traditional bread oven. There are a number of outbuildings, some of which are constructed in stone, to the rear. These outbuildings would have been traditionally used for storage purposes and are also not in a habitable condition. The garden is enclosed though there are some mature shrubs and grape vines in situ. The cottage does need fully renovating though could be converted in a cosy country retreat relatively simply. The cottage is set over one floor and is situated on a quiet road within the hamlet. The larger town of Alvorge, which has cafes, bank, pharmacy, school, mini-market and restaurant is around ten minutes drive from the property. The larger town of Ansiao, which has shops, restaurant, cafes, bars, schools, market, sports centre, health centre and pharmacies, is around 15 minutes by car. The closest airport to the property is situated at Porto, which is around one and a half hours' drive. Porto airport is serviced by a variety of low cost airlines which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries. |
