The main entrance to the cottage leads into a spacious kitchen area which has tiled floor.There is a door leading to a partially tiled bathroom,which has a shower unit,toilet,bidet and pedestrial sink.From this kitchen there is a second kitchen with a traditional fire place,a sink and there is a wooden staircase leading to the first floor.On the ground level there is a wine cellar with a original stone tank for the wine,wooden ceiling and an exterior access door. On the first floor there is a living room that has wooden flooring and ceiling.There are two bedrooms,both of which have wooden floors.There is third bedroom with tiled floor and a external door leading out to the terrace. There is an attic,which is currently used only as storage,however the attic does have a window and it could be converted into extra living accomodation if required. The garden is all relatively flat and there are a variety of mature fruit trees,including orange,peach,plum,cherry and olive. The property also has a well which has been capped for safety reasons and a garage big enough to accomodate two cars. To the back of the property there is a stone annex to restore with own private garden. There are neighbouring properties opposite the cottage though the garden is private. The property is situated near the market town of Ferreira do Zezere, which has a variety of shops, cafes, mini-markets, health centre, school, dentist, library and swimming pool. The property is situated approximately five kilometers from Ferreira do Zezere and, ten from the town of Tomar and the closest airport to the property is situated at Lisbon, which is around one and a quarter hours' drive. Lisbon airport is serviced by a variety of low cost airlines, which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries. |
