A three bedroom, detached traditional cottage for sale in Aveleira in central Portugal. The cottage, which is connected to mains water and electricity, is et on a plot measuring around 3,000 square metres. The cottage, is set back from a quiet road and has good views over the surrounding countryside. The cottage is set over two floors and has been partially renovated. The cottage has been constructed in stone with a render finish, though there is stone cladding to the lower half of the exterior of the cottage which matches the personnel gate posts. The main entrance of the cottage leads into a spacious dining room with a tiled floor. This room has a stone clad wall and an arch leading into the living room. The living room, which has a wood laminate floor, also has an exterior access door to the side of the house. Off the dining room there is a kitchen, which has a tiled floor and a corner fireplace with a stone clad chimney breast. There are a selection of base and eye level built in units within the kitchen. The kitchen also has an exterior access door, which leads out to the rear of the cottage. There are three bedrooms to this floor, all of which have wood laminate floors. The bathroom is fully tiled and has a corner shower cubicle, toilet, bidet and pedestal sink. To the side of the cottage there is an exterior concrete staircase which leads to a veranda, which has good views over the countryside. There is also an access door into the attic. The roof of the cottage has been constructed using eucalyptus beams. The attic space is currently being used for storage, however it could be converted quite easily into additional living accommodation if required. The cottage is set on a plot measuring approximately 3,000 square metres. There is a vehicle entrance gate to the front of the cottage as well as a personnel gate. The land is all relatively flat and there is a good selection of mature grape vines and fruit trees on the land. The cottage is located in the small hamlet of Aveleira, which is a short drive from the village of Pussos. The village of Pussos has a supermarket and cafe. The larger town of Alvaiázere, which has supermarkets, shops, cafes, bars, restaurants, petrol station, health centre, sports centre, library and swimming pool, is approximately five minutes by car.
The historic town of Tomar, which is famous for the UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo, is around 25 minutes drive by car from the cottage.
The closest airport to the cottage is located at Lisbon, which is approximately one and three quarter hours' drive. The property has good access links and the 110 Tomar to Coimbra road is a short drive away. |
