The cottage is situated in the village of Azinhaga and is within walking distance of several cafes. The larger town of Golegã, which is the National Centre for horses in Portugal, is around five minutes drive. Golegã has a range of shops, cafes, restaurants, bar and supermarkets. Every November Golegã is host to the National Horse Fair, which attracts thousands of visitors from around the world for the week long event.

The property is easy to access and is around one and a half hours' from Lisbon, where the nearest airport is situated. Lisbon airport is serviced by a variety of low cost airlines which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
