Canoeing in Central Portugal

There are a number of places you can enjoy paddling a canoe here in Central Portugal. Several companies run organised 'expeditions' on the rivers Nabão, Mondego, Tagus and Zêzere. Most of the expeditions take the whole

day and lunch is usually included. Prices start from as little as 20€ per person and include experienced guides.

You can also hire canoes on Castelo do Bode at Aldeia do Mato by the hour if you want to explore the lake in a little more detail. There are a range of boats available from one man canoes to two-man kayaks. Hire prices include safety equipment.
