The cottage has been constructed in stone approximately 70 years ago and the design is traditional for the period. The exterior of the cottage has been rendered with decorative moulding beneath the roof. The roof has been constructed using eucalyptus beams.

The exterior doors and window frames are metal and the cottage is single glazed. There are several steps leading to the front door, which leads into the living room, which has a wooden floor. Off the living room there are two bedrooms, again with wooden floors.

There is a rustic style kitchen at the rear of the cottage with an exterior access door leading to property's land. A third bedroom is accessed off the kitchen. The property has a basic bathroom, which has a toilet, pedestal sink and a bidet. The cottage has a traditional wine making store room with a dirt floor.

The cottage has approximately 900 square metres of land, which is situated behind the buildings. Immediately behind the cottage there is a private patio area.

The cottage is situated on the side of a road, which is relatively quiet with only local traffic, in the village of Carregueira. There are several cafe bars within a two minute drive of the cottage as well as a train station, which runs south into Lisbon and north into Pombal. There is a regular bus service to Carregueira from the historic town of Tomar.

Tomar, which has several supermarkets, library, builders merchants, schools, hospital, health centre, hospital, university, shops, cafes, restaurants and pharmacies is approximately 15 minutes by car. The closest airport to the property is located at Lisbon, which is approximately one and a half hours' by car, and by train. Lisbon airport is serviced by several low-cost airlines which have scheduled flights to and from the United Kingdom.
