A traditional style detached stone cottage with double garage for rent near Tomar in central Portugal. The cottage, which is set over one floor, is connected to both mains water and electricity and is offered for rent furnished on a long let basis. The cottage measures 96 square metres of construction and has a garden measuring 520 square metres.

The cottage is fully double glazed with traditional style exterior shutters and stone window and door surrounds. The cottage is set on a quiet road, but has a private, fenced garden with a good variety of mature trees and shrubs and a borehole. The main entrance to the cottage is located at the rear and enters directly into the kitchen. The kitchen has a tiled floor and has fully tiled walls with a good selection of high quality built in base and eye level fitted units. There is a detached double garage, which measures an additional 54 square metres of construction, adjacent to the cottage. This garage is large and set over one floor. There are several storage rooms within the garage building, which have been converted into a laundry room, complete with plumbing for washing machine and sink.

The cottage has a gated driveway to the side, which leads to the rear of the cottage and there is ample parking for up to three vehicles. The garden is terraced with a variety of mature shrubs and trees including olive, apricot, orange, lemon and pomegranate. The property also has a borehole with a large water storage tank for irrigating the garden. The property has good countryside views from the garden, looking down over the town of Tomar.

The property is situated in the small village of Carril, which has several cafes and a small shop. The larger, historic town of Tomar, which is home to the UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo, is around 5-10 minutes drive from the property. Tomar has a variety of supermarkets, shops, restaurants, bowling alley, cinema, library, cafes, banks, schools and bus and train station.

Castelo do Bode lake, which is Portugal's second largest reservoir, is a short drive from the property and is popular for all kinds of water sport including swimming, canoeing, water skiing, scuba diving, sailing and fishing. The property is easy to access and has good links to the IC3 Tomar to Coimbra dual carriageway.

The closest airport to the property is located at Lisbon, which is around one and a quarter hours' by car. Lisbon airport is serviced by a variety of low cost airlines, which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
