Two old stone cottages with land for sale close to the village of Castelo in Central Portugal. The area of the cottage (two rooms) which has been utilised as a cafe is double aspect and has a large, traditional style serving balcony in one of the rooms. The second room, which has a wooden floor and ceiling, has an exterior access door leading to the front of the property. This cottage also has ground floor storage rooms with exposed stone walls. Second Cottage: The second cottage is situated only metres away from the first and is also set over two floors. The ground floor of this cottage has been used for storage purposes and as such the rooms have dirt floors and stone walls. The living accommodation of this cottage is situated on the first floor. The cottage has three bedrooms, all of which have wooden floors and ceilings. There is a rustic style kitchen with large, traditional fireplace which leads to a hallway running the depth of the cottage. The living room has a wooden floor and ceiling . This cottage has two verandas, one of which is accessed off the living room and is open, whereas the other is accessed off the kitchen and is closed. The cottages, though not attached to each other are being sold together and have land measuring 2,000 square metres. The land is all relatively flat and there are a good deal of mature olive trees in situ. The land is fertile and there are also a number of mature shrubs as well as a Camellia tree. The property is situated near the village of Castelo in central Portugal. The is only around four kilometres drive from the town of Cernache do Bonjardim, which has cafes, restaurants, mini-markets, shops, post offices, petrol station, schools, health centre, banks, weekly market and sports centre. The larger town of Serta is around 12 kilometres from the property. The property is situated equi-distance from both Porto and Lisbon airports, taking around two hours and 20 minutes by car. Both Lisbon and Porto airports are serviced by a variety of low cost airlines, which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries. |
