A two bedroom, old stone cottage with ruined olive press building for sale near Castelo do Bode lake in central Portugal. The property which measures a total of 426 square metres of construction and has land measuring 1,300 square metres. The cottage and the olive press have individual title deeds but are being sold together by the present owner. Cottage: The cottage is set over one floor though does have a storage room in the cellar. The main entrance to the cottage leads directly into a living room, which has a wooden floor and ceiling. Off this living room there are two bedrooms, again with wooden floors and ceilings. There is a rustic style kitchen, which has a concrete floor as well as a hallway, which has an exterior access door leading to an exterior staircase at the side of the cottage. There is a covered terrace at the front of the cottage. This covered terrace has a wooden beam roof and good views over the land. The cottage also has several ruined stone out buildings, which have been used for storing animals. There is some land with the cottage, which is relatively flat and has some mature grape vines. Olive Press: Adjacent to the cottage there is a ruined olive press. The olive press has been set over two floors, though the majority of the building is in a bad state of repair. The exterior stone walls and some of the internal room division remain however the property is without a roof and many of the internal timbers would have to be replaced. The property is situated near the village of Castelo do Bode in central Portugal, which is close to the shores of the lake with the same name. The property has good countryside views, though not of the lake itself. The lake is a short walk from the property and from several cafes and bars. The closest town to the property is situated at Tomar, which has both bus and train stations within walking distance of the property as well as cafe bars, restaurants, shops, banks, post office, museums, art galleries and schools.
The property is easy to access and has good road links to the IC3 Tomar to Coimbra road as well as the A23 east west dual carriageway. The closest airport to the property is situated at Lisbon, which can be accessed both by car and train from Tomar. Both journeys take approximately one and a quarter hours. |
