The house is situated in a secluded location with stunning views over Castelo do Bode lake, which is Portugal's second largest reservoir and popular for all kinds of water sport. There is a gated drive which leads to the side of the house, where there are several tiled patio areas with good views over the gardens and the lake. There are a variety of patio areas around the property, all of which have been paved and have good views over the water. There is also a built in barbecue for summer dining. The property has a wide variety of mature trees and shrubs and is situated in a secluded spot, but is close to amenities.

The closest village to the property is situated at Dornes, which is a popular location for many tourists. There are several cafes within the village and one restaurant. The larger town of Ferreira do Zêzere, which has supermarkets, shops, cafes, restaurants, banks, schools, bus station, tourist information office, builder's merchants, butchers and bakers, is around 15 minutes drive from the property.

The historic town of Tomar, which is home to the UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo, which was constructed by the Knights' Templar in the 12th century, is around 25 minutes drive from the property. The closest airport to the property is situated at Lisbon, which is around one and three quarter hours by car. Lisbon airport is serviced by several low cost airlines, which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
