At present there are no units within the kitchen and the ceiling does require some repair. Off the kitchen there is a storage room, which leads into an attic via a wooden staircase. There is a living room, which also has a parquet wood floor. The property also has an adega situated at the side of the cottage as well as an older, single storey storage room. The property has 3,900 square metres of land, the majority of which is flat. The property has boundaries with two roads, both of which are relatively quiet. There is a large variety of mature trees in situ including orange, lemon and olive. The closest village to the property is situated at Dornes, which is a popular location for many tourists. There are several cafes within the village and one restaurant. The larger town of Ferreira do Zêzere, which has supermarkets, shops, cafes, restaurants, banks, schools, bus station, tourist information office, builder's merchants, butchers and bakers, is around 10 minutes drive from the property. The historic town of Tomar, which is home to the UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo, which was constructed by the Knights' Templar in the 12th century, is around 25 minutes drive from the property. The closest airport to the property is situated at Lisbon, which is around one and three quarter hours by car. Lisbon airport is serviced by several low cost airlines, which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries. |
