staircase. This entrance leads into a living room, which has a wooden
floor and ceiling. Off the living room there are two bedrooms, both of
which have wooden floors and ceilings. There is a rustic style kitchen
to the rear which has a large, traditional fireplace. There is a
partially tiled bathroom to the rear of the cottage, which has a toilet,
bidet, pedestal sink and shower.
Adjacent to the bathroom
there is a covered veranda, which has an exterior access door leading
out to the garden. The ground floor of the cottage is currently being
used for storage purposes. The second cottage is also constructed in
stone and does require more renovation work. This second cottage has a
wooden beamed roof and is divided into several rooms.
In addition to the two
cottages, the property also has some brick built animal corrals, which
are situated to the left of the first cottage. The property is connected
to mains water and electricity and also has a well. |

The property is located near the village of
Granja in central Portugal. The cottages are situated on a quiet cobbled
road, which only receives local traffic. The larger town of Ansião,
which has supermarkets, shops, cafes, restaurants, bus station, schools,
pharmacies, banks and public sports centre, is around eight kilometres
from the property.
The historic city of Coimbra, which is home
to Portugal's oldest university, is around a 45 minute drive from the
property. Coimbra is a vibrant and lively city and with a variety of
Fado bars.
The closest airport to the property is
situated at Porto airport, which is approximately 154 kilometres away.
Porto airport is serviced by a variety of low cost airlines, which
operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other
European countries. |
