A 100 year old farmhouse and extensive outbuildings for sale near Tomar in Central Portugal. The farmhouse, which does require some modernisation and restoration work, has land measuring 4,000 square metres. The farm is situated close to Tomar and has several large outbuildings as well as a farmhouse. The farmhouse was constructed in stone and is within walking distance to a coffee bar. The farmhouse itself is a traditional Portuguese constructions and has stone window and door surrounds. There are additional farm buildings including animal stores adjacent to the farmhouse. The farm briefly comprises: Farmhouse: The farmhouse, which measures 100 square metres, is detached and situated on a quiet road. The entrance door leads into a hallway, which runs the depth of the house. This hallway has wooden floors and ceilings. Off the hallway there are two traditional sized bedrooms, both with wood floors and ceilings. There is a living room with a wooden floor and a rustic kitchen. There is a partially tiled bathroom which has a shower, toilet and sink. The farmhouse does require renovation work, but is situated in peaceful location with good access links to Tomar. Barn: There is a substantial barn, which has been constructed in stone, near to the farmhouse. This barn measures approximately 200 square metres of construction and is set over one floor, though could be renovated to incorporate two floors. The barn roof has been constructed using eucalyptus beams. Inside this barn there is a large tank, which was used for making wine. Adjacent to the barn there is an open fronted store room, which has been traditional used for keeping logs and animal feed. Animal Stalls: There are also open fronted animal stalls to the edge of the farm's land. These stalls have red brick walls and a eucalyptus beamed roof. The farm has 4,000 square metres of land, all of which is flat and walled. The land has been used for agricultural purposes and is very fertile. There are a variety of mature trees on the land including olive and Nespera as well as grape vines. The farm is not connected to mains electricity, however The farm does require modernisation and restoration works but could be converted into a comfortable house with potential for holiday lets. The farm is located in the parish of Junceira in Central Portugal and is within walking distance to a cafe bar. The farm is situated on a quiet road, which only receives local traffic. The historic town of Tomar, which has supermarkets, weekly market, banks, cafes, builders merchants, shops, agricultural merchants, bus and train stations and the UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo. The closest airport to the farm is located at Lisbon, which is approximately one and a half hours' by car. Lisbon airport is serviced by several low cost airlines which operate scheduled flights into and out of the United Kingdom. |
