Castelo do Bode lake is Portugal's second largest reservoir and is popular for all kinds of water sports including swimming, fishing, water skiing, scuba diving, sailing, canoeing and jet skiing. The town of Ferreira do Zęzere, which has supermarkets, restaurants, banks, shops, cafes, builders merchants, schools and bus station, is approximately six kilometres from the property.
The larger town of Tomar, home to the Knights Templar castle and Convento do Cristo, is around 25 minutes drive from the property. Tomar has a variety of restaurants, cafes, banks, shops, bus and train station, schools, museums and art galleries.
The closest airport to the property is situated at Lisbon, which is approximately one and three quarter hours by car. Lisbon airport is serviced by several low cost airlines, which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom. |
