A stone built house in need of total
renovation for sale close to the
market town of Alvaiázere in central Portugal.
The house, which is set over two floors,
measures 51.9 square metres of construction. |
|
The house has been
constructed in stone and has stone window and door surrounds along with
traditional 50 centimetre thick walls. The house is set over two floors
and does require total renovation, but could be converted into a cosy
country retreat.
Traditionally the first
floor of the house would have been used as storage for animals and
animal feed, however this could be renovated and turned into more living
accommodation if required. The property is not connected to either mains
water or electricity, however the supply is close by (approximately 100
metres away).
The house is set on a
plot measuring 1,241 square metres, which is located to the side and
rear of the house. There are a selection of mature olive trees on the
plot, which is secluded and has good views over the countryside. |
|
The property is located in the small
village of Macas de Caminha, which is close to the market town of
Alvaiázere in central Portugal.
Alvaiázere, which has supermarkets, shops,
pharmacies, health centre, municipal swimming pools, cafes, banks,
schools and library is only five kilometres from the property. The
historic town of Tomar, which is home to the UNESCO listed Convento do
Cristo, is approximately 33 kilometres away. Tomar is a bustling town
with a selection of supermarkets, restaurants, bars, shops, library,
cinema, bowling alley and university.
The closest airport to the property is located at Lisbon, which is approximately one and a half hours' by car.
Lisbon airport is serviced by several low cost airlines, which operate
regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European
countries. |
