A two bedroom detached cottage for sale near Tomar, central Portugal. The cottage, which is connected to mains water and electricity, is situated within the village of Marmeleiro. The cottage is set over one floor and is in a habitable condition, though it would benefit from interior and exterior decoration.

The kitchen has some built in wooden base level units. The bathroom is partially tiled and has a shower, bidet, toilet and pedestal sink, though functional, would benefit from updating. There is also a storage room. At the rear of the cottage there is a covered dining area.
The cottage is located in Marmeleiro, which is approximately ten minutes drive from the World Heritage town of Tomar in Central Portugal. Tomar has all amenities for modern living including hospital, bus and train stations, pharmacies, supermarkets, butchers, bakers and banks as wells a good selection of builders merchants, schools, shops, cafes, bars, cinema and bowling alley. Tomar is famous for it's UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo and Castle, which was constructed by the Knight Templars in the 12th Century.
The cottage is easy to locate and within an easy driving distance of Castelo do Bode lake, which is Portugal's second largest reservoir, a popular location for many water sports. The closest airport to the cottage is located at Lisbon, which is approximately one and a quarter hours' drive by car. |
