The village of Marmelais de Cima is only a short drive from the popular and historic town of Tomar, which is home to the UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo.

Tomar has a variety of supermarkets, shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, health centres, schools, pharmacies, bus and train station, sports centres and university. The closest airport to the property is situated at Lisbon, which is around an hour and a quarter drive. Lisbon airport is serviced by a variety of low cost airlines, which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
