The cottage, which is connected to mains water and electricity, has it's own well and is detached. The windows are all aluminium framed and the exterior access doors are wooden.

The cottage is set on a plot measuring 600 square metres and is traditional in its design and build. The exterior walls have been constructed in stone and the living accommodation is set over one floor, though there is an attic. At the rear of the cottage there is an extension, which houses the bathroom and kitchen. This extension has been constructed at a later date using blocks.

The cottage is set back from a quiet road and there is a gravel drive to one side with ample parking. The main entrance to the cottage is located to the front and there is a traditional style, double opening wooden door. This door leads into a central hallway, which has a wooden floor. Off the hallway there is a living room, which has a wooden floor. There is a kitchen to the rear of the cottage, which has a large, traditional style fireplace. There are some base and eye level built in units within the kitchen as well as a dining area.

The bathroom is fully tiled and has a shower tray, toilet and pedestal sink. There are two bedrooms within the cottage, both of which are accessed off the central hallway via double opening wooden doors. The bedrooms both have wooden floors and ceilings and internal wooden shutters. The attic is currently used for storage purposes and there is a ladder access off the hallway.

The property is situated in a quiet location, though there are neighbouring properties nearby. The property has around 600 square metres of land, which is all relatively flat. There are a variety of mature fruit trees including olives and oranges. There is a large well to the rear of the cottage, which retains its original metal mechanisms. There is also a water storage tank adjacent to the well for irrigating the garden.

LOCATION INFORMATION

The cottage is situated in the small village of Seiça in Central Portugal. The larger town of Ourem, which has supermarkets, doctors, builders' merchants, banks, schools, shops, cafes and restaurants, is nine kilometres away.

 

The historic town of Tomar, which is home to the UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo, is property is approximately 20 minutes drive from the cottage (16 kilometres). Tomar is a popular and bustling town with many restaurants, cafes, bars, university, schools, bus and train station, banks, health centres and museums.

 

The closest airport to the property is located at Lisbon, which is approximately one and a half hours by car ( 137 kilometres). Lisbon airport is serviced by several low cost airlines, which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
