Tomar is also home to the UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo, which was the southern European headquarters of the Knight Templars. 

The closest airport to the property is located at Lisbon, which is approximately one and a quarter hours' drive from the house. Lisbon airport is service by several low cost airlines which have scheduled flights into and out of the United Kingdom.
