A partially restored detached stone cottage with countryside views for sale near Tomar, central Portugal. The cottage, which is set over two floors, is connected to both mains water and electricity. The cottage is constructed in stone and structural work has been carried out though internal modernisation and renovation works still need to be finished.

The cottage is situated in a quiet location though is within walking distance of several cafes and restaurants. The cottage has good views towards the historic town of Tomar and although there are neighbouring properties nearby is relatively private. The property has wooden framed windows, internal shutters and exterior access doors, though these would need to be replaced.

The cottage is situated on two floors and the original main entrance is accessed via an exterior staircase. This leads to a double opening wooden door. There is a central hallway, with wooden floor and ceiling. Off this hallway there is a double aspect living room which also has a wooden floor and ceiling.

There are three bedrooms to this floor, both of which have wooden floors and ceilings. One of these bedrooms is double aspect. There is a kitchen to the rear of the house, which has a partially tiled floor. The kitchen has plumbing to this room though does require a good deal of renovation work carrying out. Within the kitchen there is a large, traditional style chimney and access to the ground floor level. This access currently only has a ladder, but it is possible to install an internal staircase.  Off the kitchen there is a double aspect sun room, which has good views over the countryside.

The ground floor of the cottage has traditional been used for storage purposes though could be converted to provide more living space. There are two external accesses to the ground floor, both of which have decorative carved stone surrounds. There are three rooms to the ground floor, all of which have wooden beamed ceilings and dirt floors. These rooms could be converted quite easily to provide a large kitchen diner and living room.

The property comes with 1,720 square metres of land. The land is all relatively flat though there is a slight incline. Some of the land surrounds the cottage though the majority is situated across a small gravel access road.

There are neighbouring properties in the vicinity though not close enough to impede privacy. The slightly larger village of Sao Pedro is approximately five minutes walks where there are several restaurants, cafes and a small mini-market.

The closest town to the property is situated at Tomar, which has cafe bars, restaurants, cinema, library, schools, hospital, supermarkets, bus and train station and art galleries, is approximately 15 minutes by car.

Castelo do Bode lake, which is popular for all kinds of water sports including sailing, skiing, swimming, canoeing and fishing, is about five minutes by car.

Lisbon Airport is one and a half hours drive and approximately two and a half hours' from Porto. Both Lisbon and Porto airports are serviced by a variety of low cost airlines which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
