This stylish and modern property is perfect for a family or even as a holiday home as the property’s grounds are extremely low maintenance. It is fully fenced so perfectly safe for children and pets.
When we arrive at the property, there is a gated entrance with a video intercom system. There is a twirling staircase up to the front door. When we enter the house, we have a roomy entrance hall with the living room to the right, the dining room straight ahead as well as the kitchen. There is a great feeling of open space living but all of the rooms are still private. The living room is double aspect and has a large set of patio doors to the front of the house.
The kitchen has a good amount of storage and has a central island with an electric hob and a second sink. There is a door giving access to the exterior and off of the kitchen is the laundry room/pantry.
All of the bedrooms can be accessed off of the central hallway. First, to the right, we have a bathroom. Then we have the master room to the left. This room is an exceptionally good size. It has large sliding patio doors, a spacious walk in wardrobe and then the en-suite which is also very spacious.
Back in the hall, we have a further two bedrooms. Both with built in wardrobes and large windows letting in lots of light.
The first floor of the property, which can be accessed via the staircase in the living room, is at the moment a separate snug area, there is a toilet and then an office with 180º views of the countryside giving by glass sliding doors. This area could either be left as it is or be turned into a feature bedroom.
The property benefits from central heating and good quality double glazing and has blindes to the outside. The property is also very well insulated.
The property’s location is also very good. It’s located in a village where there is a super market and various cafés and restaurants.
The larger town of Ourem, which has a good variety of supermarkets, shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, pharmacies, schools, banks, sports centres as well as an imposing hilltop castle, is only around ten minutes drive.
The property is a short 15 drive to the popular town of Tomar, which has supermarkets, cafe bars, restaurants, library, shops, cinema, swimming pools, weekly market and bus and train stations.
The house is easy to access and is also close to Castelo do Bode lake, which is Portugal’s second largest reservoir, popular for all kinds of water sport activities. There are many leisure activity facilities within a short drive of the property including horse riding, canoeing, walking, fishing and rock climbing. This region of Portugal is steeped in history and has many monuments including the UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo – constructed by the Knight Templars in the 12th century.
