The property is situated on a little square in a small hamlet, and is connected to mains water and electricity and and benefits from central heating run on diesel.
The main house has a footprint of 230 square meters and is set over three floors. There are radiators for central heating in all rooms of the house. The house is of solid built and shows absolutely no signs of humidity. The garden is walled and fenced all around and has enough space to plant some flowers, vegetables and salads. The water for irrigation purposes comes from a public fountain, and each household in the hamlet pays a very small fee to use it.
There are four entrance doors to the house, one to the front facing the little square, two to the rear of the house.
The main entrance door on the ground floor opens into a large multi-purpose room, which is used for family and friend gatherings. There is a room off this large room, with low ceiling, which can be used as an extra bedroom. Off the large party / living room, there is a fully tiled small bathroom with shower cubicle, toilet, bidet and pedestal sink. Next to the party /living room there is a large, partially tiled utility room, where the boiler for the diesel fueled central heating system is installed, the washing machine, and which can also be used as a kitchen. From this room, there is a door to the rear of the house, which opens into the courtyard.
The main entrance door on the first floor of the house opens into a hall. To the right, we have the light flooded dining / living room. There is a balcony which wraps around the corner of the house from which we have wonderful views into the surrounding landscape.
To the left side, at the end of the hall, we have a corridor which gives access to three good sized bedrooms and a partially tiled family bathroom with bath tub, toilet, bidet and pedestal sink. The bedrooms are decorated with clean wall paper in pastel tones and carpet floors.
Up front, the corridor has a door leading into a fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen has a door to the rear of the house, where there is a balcony / terrace leading to the driveway and the courtyard of the property.
Also from the corridor, there are marble steps leading up into the ample space attic, which could easily be converted into more living space if so desired. There is a good sized balcony from the attic, which also has wonderful views into the garden below and the landscaped beyond the little hamlet. The roof structure is iron enforced cement beams, as is very typical for more recently built houses in Portugal, the roof tiles are new.
To the rear of the house, there is the paved driveway. The vehicle entrance has an iron gate. At the entrance to the property there is an annex, an old stone house consisting of ample space ground floor which in former days served as the wine cellar, and wooden steps leading onto a landing, from which there are two smaller rooms. This stone house could be converted into a nice little guest accommodation.
Also on the plot to the rear of the house there is a second, ground floor annex, used for storage and workshop. This is where the tank with the diesel is installed, for easy filling.
There is also nice garden space to the rear of the house for planting, and flower beds around the house.
