This substantial middle class country holiday retreat, is being offered at a fabulous price, taking in consideration the various unique features which in our opinion will make this a fabulous, full of character family home, the hedge of the property on the side of the street has a gate entrance to the land and it’s limited by a rendered stone wall with a well maintained shrub hedge providing lots of privacy to the grounds.
The views from the alfresco veranda either to its own cozy garden courtyard or the stunning central Portugal mountain range are fantastic.
The house current living area can be accessed directly from the street and up the stairs through a door which opens to the main central hallway or you can also access through a gate from the street which leads to the cosy colourful garden courtyard, which in turn has this roman inspired staircase with 2 side entrances joining into one, made of stone and decorative pattern terracotta bricks leading to a lovely alfresco veranda.
From here there are wonderful views into the garden. From the veranda there is a door which opens into the corridor running the length of the house.
To the left, we have a traditional kitchen with large open fireplace which was used to fume sausages and other food.
Across the kitchen, there is a traditional sun room with wooden staircase to the attic. The attic has good standing height and could be converted into more living space. The roof structure is wood and the roof tiles are in good state of repair.
Down the hallway, there is a functional bathroom with a shower cabin, a toilet, a bidet and a pedestal sink. At the end of hallway there are 2 good sized bedrooms to the right and another 2 bedrooms. The straight forward layout could easily be converted for better usage for smaller or bigger families. Half way through the hallway there’s a door which opens to the marble faced staircase to the ground floor.
The windows of the house are well preserved wood with traditional wooden indoor shutters. The ceilings are high and wood. Except for the kitchen and the bathroom, the floors are wood.
The ground floor is currently used as storage here and it’s a huge space in waiting for someone with ideas to convert it into a fantastic area of the house. There is a single door and a double vehicle door, both made of iron. The ground floor has high ceilings. The supporting beams are concrete, while the ceilings are wood.
The garden next to the house is boasts a large number of decorative flowers, bushes and trees, and there is a bbq and an exterior sitting area. Adjacent to the flowering garden there is a fruit tree orchard with a good number of different fruit trees.
The large 2/3’s of an acre land plot is flat and fertile has a well in the corner opposite the house and could easily accommodate for example a horse or could be used to grow your own vegetables or any outdoor activity on a fabulous flat lawn plot.
