The house is very old and is of very good structure. It is set over two floors and has a footprint of 114,41 m². The plot measures 1.080 m². There is a borehole and a large storage tank on the land. The property has very good sun exposure. The roof of the house has recently been replaced.
The house is situated on the corner of two small lanes which take only local traffic. On the side road, there is a pedestal entrance gate which takes us to the rear of the house. We have two entrance doors: one to the rustic kitchen with a large bread oven, and another to the main entrance. We enter into a corridor, from which to the left hand side we have a large room with lots of light and another smaller room off to one side. To the right hand side we enter a very large, light flooded room, which used to be the family living room. Off this room there is a bathroom, and two smallish bedrooms. At the end of this room we have a door to another living room. From there we have a door another division, this one with traditional open fireplace. At the end of the house we have three steps to the right down into the large traditional rustic kitchen with bread oven.
Back into the main corridor, up front we have steps leading into the ground floor.
On the ground floor there are a total of five doors, each leading into a separate division, the largest of which being a garage. In these divisions we can appreciate the good quality of the build of this house, strong stone walls, set against mountain rock. The floors are stamped earth.
Next the house we have a large terrace facing both the lane and, to the back, the land.
Just opposite the main entrance door there is a second stone build, unrendered one room building set over two floors, which could be converted into a separate guest accommodation.
The land is to the rear of the buildings. What catches our eye is the very old and impressive orange tree close to the house. The land is flat and is fenced, although the fence would need some attention.
The property is located in a small peaceful hamlet, where the bread van delivers each day. Just opposite the house there is a large public fountain.
The house is connected to mains electricity and mains water and has a borehole for irrigation purposes.
The property is a mere 10 minute drive to the center of town of Sertã, driving on toll free highways. Sertã has several supermarkets, shops, restaurants, banks, indoor and outdoor pools, a public library, schools, health centers, café bars, parks and municipal buildings and is easy to access off the IC8 dual carriageway.
The closest airport to the property is situated at Lisbon, which is around two hours and ten minutes. Lisbon airport is serviced by a variety of low cost airlines, which operate regular flights to and from the United Kingdom and other European countries.
