There is a well at the top end of the plot, which supplies the water to irrigate the plot, where we have a good flat part with mature fruit and olive trees and a another bit going up the hill on the other side of the little valley behind the houses
There is parking space for at least one car right in front of the annex alongside the lane. Opposite the house there is a public children´s playground, which is hardly ever used. Just two or three minutes´ walk from the house we have a clean little river for fishing and to take a cooling bath in the warm summer months

The airports of Lisbon and Porto are about the same distance away, some two and a half hours´ drive by car. Both airports are serviced by a number of low cost flight companies
