A three bedroom detached house for sale in the small village of Ribeira Velha in central Portugal. The house, which is set on a plot measuring 8,000 square metres, is connected to both mains water and electricity. The garage also has two exterior access doors, which lead out to the garden at the rear of the house. There is a third bedroom to the ground floor, which has a tiled floor, as well as a partially tiled bathroom.

The property, which was previously advertised at a lower price (which included only 2,500sqm land) now includes 8,000square metres of land, hence the slight increase in the sale price. The majority of this land is relatively flat. There are some mature grape vines  and several mature fruit trees. The garden to the front of the house is fenced and there is ample parking at the side and rear of the house. The property also has a well and there is a stream at the boundaries of the land. Behind the house there is also a large, open fronted storage building, which is currently used for storage purposes.

The property is situated within the small hamlet of Ribeira Velha and there are two neighbouring properties close by. The nearest town to the property is situated at Alvaiazere, which three small supermarkets, a pharmacy, cafes, hardware shops, agricultural merchants, a rural museum, municipal sports centre, library, council, shops, cafes, bars, restaurants, petrol station, health centre, sports centre, library and swimming pool and is within walking distance of the house.

 

The historic town of Tomar, which is famous for the UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo, is around 25 minutes drive by car from the house. Tomar is a bustling town (though is holds a city status in Portugal) and has around 40,000 inhabitants. There is a train station, bus station, municipal sports centre, museums, art galleries, bowling alley, cinema, cafes, restaurants and a popular weekly market.

 

The closest airport to the farmhouse is located at Lisbon, which is approximately one and three quarter hours' drive. The property has good access links and the 110 Tomar to Coimbra road is a short drive away.
