A single storey stone cottage for sale within the village of Rio dos Moinhos in central Portugal. The cottage, which has been connected to mains electricity and water is constructed in stone and does require total renovation.

The cottage has 50 centimetre thick walls and wooden ceilings, though these would require replacing. The main entrance to the cottage leads into a hallway. Directly off this hallway is access to three rooms. One of the rooms leads through to another and one of the rooms has a been used as a kitchen. This room has a large traditional style fireplace to one corner and there is an exterior access door leading to the garden at the rear of the house.

The bathroom is accessed off the kitchen and there is a bidet, toilet and wall mounted sink. There is a fifth room to the cottage, which is accessed via another room. At the rear of the cottage there is a garden, which is all flat, and a storage building, which measures 12 square metres.

The cottage is located on the outskirts of the village of Rio do Moinhos (River of the Mills) where there are several cafe bars, a bakery, mini-market, post office, bar, restaurant and carpenters.

The larger town of Abrantes, which has several large supermarkets, schools, library, post office, health centre, river marina, banks, hospital, shops, cafe bars, restaurants, cinema and go-karting circuit, is approximately five minutes drive from the property. Abrantes also has a main line train station which goes to and from Lisbon. There is also a bus station which services the region and more national routes.

The house is a short drive from Castelo do Bode lake, Portugal's second largest reservoir, which is popular for all kinds of watersports. There is a nautical centre where it is possible to hire canoes, kayaks, speed boats and sail boats, approximately ten minutes drive from the cottage.

The closest airport to the property is located at Lisbon, which is approximately one and a half hours' by car. Lisbon airport is serviced by several low cost airlines which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
