A three bedroom detached country cottage for sale near Tomar in central Portugal. The cottage, which is set over one floor, measures a total of 300 square metres of construction and has land measuring 1,200 square metres.
The property is in a reasonable decorative condition, though would benefit from some minor updating specifically to the bathroom and kitchen areas. The property is connected to mains water and electricity and has aluminium framed windows and exterior doors.
The main entrance to the cottage leads directly into the living room, which has a cork floor and a wooden ceiling. All three of the bedrooms are accessed off this living room. All the bedrooms have wooden floors and ceilings and internal wooden shutters.
The kitchen is also accessed off the living room. The kitchen, which also has a wooden floor and ceiling, has a large, traditional style fireplace to one corner. There is a stainless steel sink and drainer and some built in wooden base and eye level units, though the kitchen would require some modernisation. Off the kitchen there is a pantry area which has a wash basin and an exterior access door, which leads out to the side of the cottage. The bathroom is partially tiled and has a toilet, bidet and shower.
To the side of the cottage there is an electronic vehicle access gate leading to a driveway and a garage, large enough to accommodate up to three vehicles, at the rear of the cottage. The garage has a metal, double opening vehicle access door as well as a personnel door. Although the cottage's living accommodation is set over one floor there is a large storage room within the basement, accessed at the rear.
This storage room has metal doors and covers the footprint of the property. This storage room has a concrete floor and could quite easily be incorporated into the living accommodation quite easily.
The cottage is set on a plot measuring 1,200 square metres of land, situated at the side and rear of the buildings. The land has a slight incline and a variety of mature olive trees. The property is situated within a country location and has good views over the surrounding valley.
The property is situated near the village of Sabacheira in central Portugal. The closest town to the property is situated at Tomar, which is approximately 14 kilometres away.
Tomar is an historic market town, which is home to the famous UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo constructed by the Knight Templars in the 12th century. Tomar has several large supermarkets, shops, cafes, restaurants, schools, banks, pharmacies, hospital, health centres, sports centres and bus and train stations. In addition to this it has a weekly market on Fridays and a flea market once a month.
The closest airport to the property is situated at Lisbon, which is approximately 145 kilometres drive. Lisbon airport is serviced by a selection of low cost airlines which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom. |
