The property is set on a plot measuring 680 square metres. The garden is flat and there are some mature fruit trees as well as grape vines. There are two water storage tanks as well as an open sided storage area.

The property is situated within the village of Barreira da Serra, which is close to Castelo do Bode Lake, Portugal's second largest reservoir. The town of Serra, which has cafes, mini-market, pharmacy, builder merchants, school, banks and church is around five minutes drive from the property.

The historic town of Tomar, which is home to the Convento do Cristo built by the Knight Templars in the 12th Century is around 10 to 15 minutes drive from the property. Tomar has a range of supermarkets, restaurants, sports centres, schools, university, hospital, banks, bus and train stations and art gallery as well as a cinema and bowling alley.

The closest airport to the property is situated at Lisbon, which is around one and a half hours by car. Lisbon airport is service by several low cost airlines which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
