There is a rustic style kitchen to the rear of the cottage, with a traditional style fireplace. The third bedroom is also located at the rear of the cottage adjacent to the kitchen.  There is an open fronted storage/dining area off the kitchen which leads out to the property's land.

The ground floor of the property has been used for storage purposes, but could with work be converted into additional living space quite easily. The ground floor accommodation is open plan and has a dirt floor. The property also has a brick built storage building at the rear of the cottage.

The property is set on a plot measuring 5,000 square metres, the majority of which is relatively flat though there are slopes in places. There are a variety of mature olive and Cork oak trees as well as grape vines. The property does have neighbours, though these are quite far from the cottage itself and do not impede on the privacy of the property.

The property is located near the town of Serra, which has several cafes, a restaurant, builders' merchant, pharmacy, mini-market, bakers, cash machine, post office and school. Castelo do Bode lake, which is Portugal's second largest reservoir is around five minutes walk from the property and is visible from the land.

The larger, historic town of Tomar is around 10-15 minutes drive from the property and is home to the UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo. Tomar has a range of supermarkets, shops, cafes, bars, art galleries, weekly market, banks, health centres, hospital, schools, university and bus and train station.

The closest airport to the property is located at Lisbon, which is around one and a half hours' drive. Lisbon airport is serviced by a variety of low cost airlines, which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
