A large, two storey stone warehouse for sale in Tomar, central Portugal. The warehouse, which has a footprint of 116 square metres, is located behind the UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo and is a short walk into the historic centre of Tomar. The property, which is connected to both mains water and electricity is set on a relatively quite road at the rear of the Convento do Cristo. The property is constructed in stone and has two large, vehicle entrance doors to the ground floor. The ground floor has a concrete floor and several windows with stone surrounds. The ground floor is one large, open space and there is a wooden staircase with wrought iron balustrades which leads to the first floor. The first floor of the warehouse has a wooden floor and is also one open space. There are windows to three aspects and exposed wooden roof trusses. The roof is in a reasonably good order though there is no insulation. The property is ideal as a large, storage unit or for conversion into a commercial business such as a bar or cafe given the proximity to the Convento do Cristo. The warehouse is located close to the Convento do Cristo and has good views of this and the Castle of Tomar. The quiet access road it is situated on is only used by local traffic. The warehouse is within walking distance of the historic centre of Tomar and is easy to access. Tomar is a popular and bustling town with a variety of shops, cafes, restaurants, cinema, bowling alley, historic centre, sports centres, swimming pools, train and bus station, schools, parks and pharmacies as well as supermarkets. The closest airport to the property is situated at Lisbon, which is around one and a quarter hours' by car. Lisbon airport is serviced by a variety of low cost airlines, which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries. |
