A set of stone ruins for sale close to the historic town of Tomar in Central Portugal. The ruins, which measure approximately 86 square metres of construction, are set in a rural location with good views over the surrounding countryside. The property, which comprises two ruined stone houses, is set on a plot measuring 2,720 square metres. The properties were originally constructed in 1937, but have fallen into disrepair. Both properties require a total rebuild, which would be possible once all the correct permissions have been sought from the local council. The property is situated on a hillside and has some flat terraces with mature grape vines, Oleander shrubs, orange and olive trees. The property is ideal for someone looking to construct a new property in a tranquil and peaceful area with good vies and close proximity to all amenities. There are neighbouring houses close by, many of which have already been restored retaining many of the original features including exposed stone walls. The property is located in the small hamlet of Vale do Roxo, which is approximately seven kilometres from the historic town of Tomar, where there are supermarkets, hospital, cinema, library, train and bus station. Access to the property is via a gravel road (approximately 700 metres). There are other properties close by, but the property retains a great deal of privacy.
The closest airport to the property is situated at Lisbon, which is around one and a half hours drive. Porto airport is slightly further taking around two and a half hours'. Both airports are serviced by several low cost airlines which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
There are several 5 Star Golf courses within easy reach of an hours' drive and there are plenty of water sports activities available on Castelo do Bode lake. |
