The property is located in the small hamlet of Vale do Roxo, which is approximately seven kilometres from the historic town of Tomar, where there are supermarkets, hospital, cinema, library, train and bus station. Access to the property is via a gravel road (approximately 700 metres). There are other properties close by, but the property retains a great deal of privacy.

The closest airport to the property is situated at Lisbon, which is around one and a half hours drive. Porto airport is slightly further taking around two and a half hours'. Both airports are serviced by several low cost airlines which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.

There are several 5 Star Golf courses within easy reach of an hours' drive and there are plenty of water sports activities available on Castelo do Bode lake.
