A three bedroom restored stone house with country views for sale near Penela, central Portugal. The house, which is set over two floors, measures 249 square metres of construction and is set on a plot measuring 698 square metres. The property is connected to both mains water and electricity and has some 'wood' style aluminium framed double glazed windows. Off this hallway there are three bedrooms, all of which have wood laminate floors and wood style tongue and groove to the ceiling. One of the bedrooms is triple aspect and anther is double aspect. One of the bedrooms also has a set of built in wardrobes with sliding doors. There is a family sized bathroom to this floor, which has a bath, toilet, bidet and vanity basin with a storage cupboard beneath. A stone faced staircase leads down to the ground floor accommodation. The staircase leads into an large, open plan kitchen and living room. This living room kitchen is spacious, double aspect and has a tiled floor. Within the living room there is a corner stone fireplace with a re-circulating hot air Salamander log burner. Off the living room there is a fully tiled bathroom with toilet and pedestal sink. There are three sets of double opening wooden exterior access doors. Two sets of the doors lead to the side of the house and garden and the third leads to the other side and the garage. The kitchen has a good range of built in base and eye level wooden units with granite work surfaces. There is an integrated oven and gas hob along with a double stainless steel sink and drainer and extractor fan. The garage is accessed externally and has a concrete floor and a set of metal vehicle access doors and is large enough to accommodate up to two vehicles. Off the garage there is a summer kitchen complete with wooden base level units as well as an entertainment room with a traditional style fireplace. The property is set on a plot measuring 698 square metres and has good views over the countryside. The property is situated within the village of Via Vai, which has several cafes and a small mini-market. The larger town of Penela, which has a supermarket, shops, cafes and a restaurant, is around 13 kilometres from the property. The historic city of Coimbra, which is home to Portugal's oldest university, is around three quarter of an hours' drive. Coimbra has a range of shopping malls, restaurants, cafes, bars, shops and historic monuments and is popular all year round for tourists and locals alike. The closest airport to the property is situated at Porto, which is around one and three quarter hours' by car. Porto airport is serviced by a variety of low cost airlines, which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries. |
