The floors and ceilings of the first floor of wooden and do require attention. The first floor has been divided in a variety of rooms, however due to the nature of the construction these internal walls could be altered quite easily. There are neighbouring properties adjacent and opposite to the house.

The house is situated near the town of Vila de Rei in Central Portugal. The town of Vila de Rei  has cafe bars, restaurants, a supermarket, pharmacy and health centre. The larger town of Abrantes, which has builders merchants, wood yards, supermarkets, a hospital, shops, cafe bars and restaurants, is approximately 20 minutes away.

The world heritage town of Tomar, which is home to the UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo, is approximately 25 minutes by car. Tomar has a range of supermarkets as well as shops, art gallery, museums, bowling alley, restaurants, municipal sports centres and tennis clubs.

The closest airport to the property is situated at Lisbon, which is approximately one and a half hours drive. Lisbon airport is serviced by several low cost airlines, which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom.
