The expressway IC 8 with terminal Ansião is reached in 5 minutes, eastwards leads to the natural river pools, the city of Guarda and the numerous lakes and recreational areas west to Pombal as nearest bigger town. Northward lies the old historic university city of Coimbra (approx. 35km) and southward the famous city of the Knights Templar, Tomar (approx. 50km). The Porto or Lisbon Airport is about 1.5 hours from the house when using the highway. The Atlantic beaches are also on the IC 8 easily accessible (eg. approx. 45 minutes of the broad and original dune beach Osso da Baleia). The region is due to the versatility both for a beach, swimming and hiking holidays and day trips with historic or cultural background.
