This wonderful house is the renovation of an old stone house, it has a total footprint of 204,24 square meters, and a total construction area of 361,25 square meters. It sits on a plot of land with 2.760 square meters.
The property is situated on a quiet country road and there is both a vehicle and a pedestrian gate from the road, through which we enter into the paved courtyard. The main entrance to the house leads us into a small hallway. To the left, we enter the fully equipped kitchen, big enough to comfortably sit two to three people at the table. On the opposite side of the hallway there is an open space which serves as a small office, and gives way to the entrance of the large living room. There is a so-called “Bullerjan” installed in a part of the bathroom, a very efficient wood burner which heats the entire bottom level of the house, and the kitchen.
Walking out of the rear door, we turn right and find an outdoor toilet with a beautiful window. Turning around the left corner of the house, we find three annexes used as storage, as workshop, and as a carpentry. There is also a covered terrace next to the carpentry. From here we have a good view of the landscape beyond the house, as the access to the rear of the property is shaped in key form. This decorative feature is removeable, so that a vehicle can pass through to the rear of the property.
To the side of the house, stone steps lead up to the side terrace, from which metal stairs take us to the roof terrace. From here you have wonderful views into the surrounding landscape, the perfect place to enjoy the sunset. You could be tempted to feel like a castle owner.
From the roof terrace with have a door to the attic, where we can appreciate the sturdy build of the house. The attic is used for storage.
Coming back down the stairs, at the rear of the patio, there is an iron gate to the garden. Here we have decorative trees, shrubs and flowers, and a few sculptures made by the owner. Including a small hobbit house, which serves as a cozy covered terrace, offering good views into the garden with the sculptures.
A large part of the garden is on two large terraces, pretty much flat and great to plant more fruit trees and for a vegetable garden.
There is a large well for irrigation purposes on the land. There is another well in the patio, in front of the house, which is currently not used. The house is connected to mains water.

The property is located in a small hamlet in the parish of Arega, within the council area of Figueiró dos Vinhos. There are a few cafés with mini-mercado practically within walking distance of the house. The nearest river beach, Foz de Alge, is only 5 km drive from this property, the larger town of Cabaços, with many amenities is 8 km and Figueiró dos Vinhos is 12 km away.
